Seneca Rocks in 1987 with the Gendarme in the notch
In the Spring of 1987, my brother and I and some friends went to Seneca Rocks, West Virginia to do some rock climbing. Jeremy and I climbed the "Gendarme", a 30ft spire set in the "gunsight" of Seneca Rocks. It wasn't a difficult climb (5.4, I think) but it was pretty cool. A little while later, in October of that year I think, the Gendarme came down in a rockfall.
