We got back to Silver Lake, packed up camp and headed downstream. The trail was now plain and the tread was easy. We made our way along the North shore of Island Lake and crossed a precarious "bridge" of log jams between Island Lake and Mystic Lake.
We made camp on the South shore of Mystic Lake, at the West end.
In the morning we hiked along the South shore, and then down to the trailhead. It had been a lot of fun and we agreed we'd be back to explore more of the beautiful Beartooth Mountains of Montana.
