Lonesome Mountain 2008 (3)

Having summitted the day before, we set out to circumnavigate Lonesome Mountain. But first, we ate breakfast.

We hiked past Albino Lake, Jasper Lake and Golden Lake.

Golden Lake.

Most of the wildflowers were past thier prime, but this Castilleja caught my eye.

We crossed a few snowfields along with talus and grass on this off-trail route.

One of the many beautiful lakes that we passed.

This pretty valley leads down to Hidden Lake.

We found a nice warm spot above Abandoned Lake for lunch.

Looking up at Lonesome Mountain from our lunch spot.

Jeremy making his way up some slabs above Lonesome Lake.

We happened on this tenacious tree on the way back to camp.

The next day, we headed out. Another wonderful trip in the Beartooths!
