The morning was clear and sunny. We now needed to descend about 2000ft into Glacier Creek and down to the Stillwater. The initial part of this descent was very steep and quite challenging.
The Glacier Creek drainage burned in the 1988 Storm Creek Fire; there was lots of blowdown and still plenty of fire snags.
Upper Glacier Creek.
Descending more talus into the lower Glacier Creek valley.
There were new routefinding challenges in the lower Glacier Creek valley with lots of blowdown.
It again poured with rain as we set up camp and cooked dinner.
