Beartooths 2009 (3)

There were more showers in early morning, but then the weather cleared.

And we headed across the plateau toward Courthouse Lake.

I just love this country.

Courthouse Lake.

We had a snack at the top of the Courthouse Lake outlet and contemplated the steep, 1000ft drop down to Wrong Lake note.

The descent was fairly challenging and a lot of fun.

After the initial cliffs and talus, our route passed through some beautiful meadows.

As we got near Wrong Lake, it rained and hailed on us (which made crossing the talus more difficult).

The left side of the lake was cliffy, so we crossed the (wet) talus on the right side. It took a while.

We found a nice campsite along the outlet stream, but it was raining hard so it wasn't the most fun camp.
