Not a bad view from my campsite.
There were a couple of thunderstorms during the night and it was showery in the morning. I decided to head home. Thankfully, the weather improved and the hike was dry.
Descending back through the meadows.
I followed the West Fishtail Creek for a while, but eventually had to cross a couple of ridges to get to Chrome Lake (and the Benbow Road). There was plenty of blowdown.
The second ridge was a bit easier.
The last bit of bushwhacking to Chrome Lake was through dense forest - I used GPS to make the navigation easy. I hiked the Benbow Road to the Prairie Creek switchback, and then back home. Another fun trip!
